Tsumugu* Gallery, created by Leading Japanese newspaper company Yomiuri Shimbun, is an online art gallery built to preserve and promote ancient Japanese artistry and craftsmanship.
the gallery enables visitors to zoom in and explore the selectively curated artworks up close at unprecedented detail levels.
Ultra HIgh-res photography was provided by Canon in multiple parts which were pieced together in an extensive, meticulous process. I was responsible for the reconstruction of the four artworks shown on this page.
artwork descriptions and analyses were also translated for english language support.
